The Snake Blog Roll!
Hello, fellow Snakes, this is Reporter CraftyGryphon checking in! As you may know, a lot of Snakes have active craftblogs out there. For your edification, amusement and perusal, I've compiled a list of people with Current Blogs (i.e., posted since August 1 or thereabouts) who've said "OK!" to me linking them here. Go check them out; I've looked at them all as I put this list together, and you'll see/learn a lot of great things! So, in no particular order, here is the Snake Blog Roll:

Look, a Blog Post!
Thank you interested Slytherins for tuning in to our extra special Slytherin blog! Sorry it's been kind of fail the last few weeks. It just has been....chaos. That's all I've got.
Anyway, I've been planning a post for the last few weeks, I just wanted to wait to the end of the month before I did it. I've been favoriting some projects as I come across them throughout the month, and I wanted to share those here. So that'll come up in the next few days or so.
Right now, I'll share some general things to know:
Anyway, I've been planning a post for the last few weeks, I just wanted to wait to the end of the month before I did it. I've been favoriting some projects as I come across them throughout the month, and I wanted to share those here. So that'll come up in the next few days or so.
Right now, I'll share some general things to know:
- Have you looked at the Headmistress Challenge yet? Scarlettb posted a very relevant post about it in the Dungeon a while back.
- We had a great time doing our May Tea Party, so we've decided to do something fun for June too! We're having a Slytherin Summer Jam! This isn't required, and there's probably no bonus for us doing it as a group, but it's a fun way to get to know one another, and shake up the projects a bit. For our Tea Party, see the dungeon thread here or check out the 3 pages of projects!!
- We're calling out Ravenclaw! Do you have what it takes to make two projects that relate to one another for Charms and Potions? If you do, step up and help us challenge Ravenclaw!
- Have you done Quidditch yet, or are you at least considering it? We have all term to complete it, but it's a major fountain of point-potential. If you aren't sure where to start, check out the Quidditch thread in the Slytherin Dungeon. It explains things from a Slytherin point of view, and you can ask questions there. As Quidditch staff, I'm equipped to provide answers. :)
- Work on those Owls this month, and remember you've got to be at 50% (not 30%!) by the end of June. Speaking of that, I really should go work on mine, so, keep on carrying on, everyone!

In the Dungeon: The first Week
Hi Everyone! I'm suenosdejmi, and I'm going to be posting Dungeon updates throughout the term. Right up front, I feel the need to say I will post things that are interesting to me. Me. So, if I didn't post what you thought was interesting, sneak me an earburn and I'll include it later. I do take requests.
- If you pay attention to the links over on the right, there's a new one that says Slytherin Dungeon Group. ALL SLYTHERINS, come join this group! We've expanded to off-HPKCHC grounds, but this group has all of the same elements of the Dungeon, just more room to be wild and crazy in! There's special places for hotties of various ratings, and I think that at some point, there will be hottie voting there. I think. I'm not sure how the great scarlettb will be running that just yet.
- The Snake Nests have been announced. There are also individual nest threads over in the new Dungeon Group. Use these, they'll come in handy!
- The Slytherin Quest has been expanded to include the new Zen Quest. All official details here.
- The new group also has a special roaming grounds just for the Slytherin Merry Beasts.
- If you haven't been following the blog until now, we're having a tea party this month, Slytherin style! There's also a thread in the new Dungeon for it.
- Peanutzmom offered up a nice little tip for finding your dream DADA project this month.
- For those of you who feel you might need to make a reservation at St Mungos, they sent us a nice little letter.
- Best New Spell of the Week goes to DrusillaWormwood
- May is Zombie Awareness Month. :)
- Crazyredheadchick is taking submissions for ideas for student interviews for the Slytherin blog.
- And in closing, a nice start of term reminder from anethemadevice

I'm posting a Dungeon update. I am on a horse.
Yes, this is me, posting an update!
I will now pause while you all pick yourselves up off the floor from shock.
Okay, everyone up, ready to go?
Soooo sorry I haven't been around here in a bit. I've been marking posts in the Dungeon especially for this moment. Here they are, nice and out of order, dating back as far as the Ravelympics. :) If you don't want to click all of this, scroll down below the list for the short of it.
The Short of It:
There were birthdays. We had lots of cake. We did really awesome in Ravelympics. There were lots of hotties, some Ravenclaws, and we're just as cool as always. :)
Until next time!

- Sunshineknit HAD A BABY!!!
- Coleva announced that by some mysterious force of nature, one House Cupper will be getting a Month's Membership to Bumblebirch's Yarn + Tea Club. This is one HECK of a prize, and you could win it! WOW!
- Slytherin ROCKED HARD in the Ravelympics. Just sayin'.
- On that same line of thought, our own airmidm and anethemadevice tied for 3rd place (with others, I think) for the MOST PROJECTS IN THE ENTIRE RAVELYMPICS. HOLY MOTHER YOU GIRLS ARE AWESOME!
- My favorite Ravelympics Project Name Award goes to Abycat re: Luna, I don't think Narcissa is Asleep!
- If you haven't been around the Dungeon since last week, you missed NerdiGras. It involved Fat Nerds and Cake and was a great day to be had by all. (Note: Skinny nerds and non-cake lovers were also welcomed)
- Shenene had the great idea for an art show, Dungeon Style. It involves your ink. Have some? POST IT! (unless it's somewhere covered by your undergarments, then don't post it, because we've got little ones in the Dungeon too! But tell us about it!)
- In the spirit of the above, Fosterson has some new ink. Isn't it purdy?
- Seakame brought us cake in honor of her birthday. :)
- Some odd paint fight thing went down where Foxy turned green, and a bunch of Ravenclaws ended up in the Dungeon. I really am unsure how
they got past securitythis happened.... - Only because this makes me laugh, even now, weeks later. And this too. And this is pretty like woah.
- Sexy Slytherin Cake Lots of Cake.
- In honor of the title of this blog post...

In the Dungeon: February?!?!
So, the last time I reported in on the Dungeon mishaps it was January. And now it seems to already be February. I'm not sure how that happened...
anyway...here's some interesting. It's definitely not all of the interesting, but it's things that made me giggle. This goes back to the last time I posted, which was in January. Remember, as always, the important stuff can be found in the header of the common room. Also, the Scenic Route is always good for those on a time budget (and/or a fetish for the Doctor).

- Shout out to my Little Snake grirova for her awesome ravatar involving Potterpuff Draco in some sexy pants, and also for teaching us that stuffing angry cats down people's pants is NOT good. Hear that, Slytherins, NOT GOOD. (but still funny, yes?)
- Cat Versus Yarn
- Vote for Tiberius (or someone else, if you dare!)
- It's not too late for QUIDDITCH UNIFORMS!!! Get 'em in by the 15th!
- This didn't happen in the Common Room, but if you're playing Quidditch this term, this is the Ultimate Ravelympics FAQ from the group itself.
- You now get a cute little icon for gramatically correct piƱata courtesy of Polcamilla (and of course CASEY!!)
- Get some Quidditch bling for your Ravatar here. :)
- Dudimus is awesome. Because I say so.
- Questers, did you survive January with your quest intentions in one piece? (I might have failed....sad day...) If you did, get yourself some rockin' Quest Bling
- Even though he didn't win, the last week's Hottie Competition featured one Stephen Colbert, which made me very happy. :)
- I'm not sure if it's too late, but go vote for the cutest thing ever (in the form of SarahJanet's octopus! in the prize thread for January prizes!)
- Z12 has a scary ass cat.
- Cooking time with ScarlettB
- And because I can't post an update without some goats in it, goat on a cake and chocolate goats

In the Dungeon: Where is January Going?
Slytherins, we're down to 5 days left in the month, where did January go?
I lost my January knee-deep in Quidditch stashes...but never fear, I've kept some time aside to post a quick play by play of the Dungeon, so you don't have to lose the rest of your month trying to keep up with what's happening over there!
Here's the down and dirty:

Here's the down and dirty:
- For some reason, a bunch of misled Gryffindors snuck into the Dungeon to pelt us with food thinking that it was a form of attack. Except all they did was bring us snacks. (they also brought hotties...) Thanks Gryffindors!
- Pacasha of Hufflepuff reminded us all of the importance of Haiti relief, and that lots of designers on Ravelry are sending pattern profits to support Haiti relief!
- Turpentinechai demonstrates the Droste Effect in the Ravelry forums. And made me a bit dizzy.
- Dnatheory has discovered a rare printer that produces cats.
- The QuestMistress gets knitty with the Dark Mark.
- Ranalome shared this awesome snake project that SFCorgi made just for us!
- How to Make a Spindle with Fosterson

In the Dungeon: As of Late
Since last time:
- Crazy picture mania. The pictures almost sum up the common room lately. Lots of goats (and this isn't all of them...just the ones that said 'goat'). Some other animals. Super Sexy Slytherins (pictures start at this post). Some super projects like polcamilla's first handspun and feministy's gorgeous 9 day sweater!
- Scarlettb made an important OWL announcement (spoiler alert: it involves goats)
- Rainbow cupcake love.
- synchronistic is a death eater. There's photographic evidence. We want the story, Synchronistic! There's a blog post with your name on it!
- Scarlettb is made of smart and awesome.
- We may never see Fosterson again.
- If you use SparkPeople, there's a HPKCHC group over there now. Info here
- Dnatheory is requesting Slytherins to share on the main HPKCHC blog. If you like to put things on top of other things, it's the place for you.

In the Dungeon: The last week
Oh my gracious, has it been a week??? It's been a week! Wowwy!
Important: If you want to vote for the Slytherin Quidditch Team Name, you have until tonight at 5 pm Eastern, so get on it!
Aside from that, here's a summary of the entire week in one simple phrase.
And now, the rest of the story:
There are hot chicks in the Dungeon. And Team Kilt.
Hilltopkatie made a very important announcement
Scarlettb calls Snape. And it's officially okay to be a nerd.
Z12's in a book!
Knitknot makes a mean pair of socks. Aren't they dreamy?
TurpentineChai hooked us up with some fun HP actor trivia. What movie other than the HP series has the most HP actors?
Hellooooooo, gorgeous. (Just to see if you're paying attention)
Peace out, Snakes!

Seriously. For reals. They are all hot. Kilts are hot. And this guy is our Official Slytherin Hot Kilt Guy. (If Scarlettb disagrees with this, he's the Official Prefect Plaything. Wait...Maybe he's that anyway...) Super Mega Foxy Awesome Props to YarnMaiden for making our wizard dreams come true.

In the Dungeon
The last post I did was on the second, so this is since then. Again, this isn't everything. It's just a little. (and honestly, today was kind of a blur).
When in doubt, if you find something awesome enough to be on the Slytherin blog, earburn me. That'll work for reals.

- Z12 makes a glorious Quidditch post in the common room.
- Voting for the Current Hottie of the Week is still going down
- QuestMistress LNS makes another amendment to the Slytherin Quest rules (by the way, there's now Quest Lite!)
- The Best Big Snake Encouragement as of late goes to Folk (and MamaSnatrix made me laugh!)
- There's a new group founded by Gryffindor Stargirl09 where we can storm the public with our yarn!
- Sayid is da hawt...
- Red gets love for calling out her Little Snakes to come follow the blog! You rock RED!
- Professor Feelgood posted something incredibly hot.
- My personal favorite of the Dungeon Awesome (with the possible exception of the Incredibly Hot in the above post, The Kids from Hogwarts are going back for A Very Potter Sequel! Thanks Chileninja for the shareage.

In the Dungeon: The first two days of term
Hello Slytherins!
First off, Big Snakes and Middle Snakes, PLEASE encourage your Little Snakes to follow the blog and check here for regular updates if they are afraid of the dungeon! There's a lot of stuff going on right now that we know they don't want to miss!
Also, I need to say, I'm not posting everything that happens in the Dungeon. I'm trying to post the highlights. If I miss something you found entertaining or important, please feel free to post the info and the post # in the comments! As I get more used to this, hopefully I'll get better at including the best highlights, and always remember, these are the things that interest ME. I am, after all, a Slytherin. I have to put myself first. :)

- Quidditch Is Up! Our esteemed captain Zanahoria12 needs any and all interested in playing a Big 7 Position (this is seeker, beaters, chasers) to tryout. Info is here
- This didn't take place in the Dungeon but official Quidditch info is here
- The new term brings us a whole new term of hotties! (okay, so lots of them are probably the same hotties...) Come look at the luscious and vote for your favorites (vote for Ewan!) Hotties are changed usually every Friday night, so nominate your favorites too!
- The Ultimate Hottie from the Fall Term Hottie-Off is Johnny Depp. And he's gorgeous. (I'm sorry Professor Snape but I voted for Jack Sparrow! Yum!) He's spending the week in the Dungeon Header (and the rest of the term chained up next to my chair!), and there's varying levels of Hot in this post
- Coleva, also known in the Potions classroom as Professor Feelgood, is awesome. Apparently I failed to sufficiently mention this in my last post, thus I'm correcting that failure here.
- Are you a Slytherin sans an appropriately evil Ravatar? If you need some new icon bling, go here. They do requests, and it might be easier to wade through than the Dungeon. Props to seakame for linkage in the dungeon.
- Finally, my most squee-worthy post of the last few days, first year TurpentineChai brings Steampunk to the Dungeon. It's so awesome I'm putting up a picture. Steampunk StarWars anyone? Vader, Fett, and Leia.

In the Dungeon: Day 1: OMB!
First off, hello! I'm Jamie, a.k.a. suenosdejmi on Ravelry. I'm one of the Slytherin Prefects and my main blog duty this term is to post the what/what of the Slytherin Common Room. For reference, any Official Slytherin News will always be in the main header of the common room, but will probably be posted here too.
If you're feeling overwhelmed by the 1000+ posts of Day 1, just tune into the blog, where every few days (a minimum of once a week, honest!) I'll be posting the coolest things that have happened in the common room as of late. These are what I think are cool (or useful), so if you don't like it, well, read the Common Room! :P

Day 1:
- HOTTIES. Loads of Hotties have been posted today. An easy way to see them all is to use the pictures only feature of the common room. (there are also lots of cats in this, strangely enough...)
- Big Snake/Middle Snake/Little Snake nest assignments. They're also posted here on the blog.
- For those of you who are seekers of the Slytherin Quest, we dubbed LNS the chick in charge and started talking about some rules. Ultimate Quest anyone?
- There's a chat room. Seriously. There is.
- Scarlettb is made of awesome. And Clooney is hawt!
- Last Term's Owl Exam rules are here. They might be different this term, but they are great guidelines to get an idea beforehand. New ones will go up with classes on the 1st.
- Quidditch will be made of awesome and the guidelines will come out soon! Some hints and details are here.
