This week in Detention, we're seeing the normal mid-month slow down of postings. 

Everyone must be off working on projects for classes. Or OWLs. Or planning for Order Missions. 

But Snakes are still posting in Detention! Hissssssss. 

Here are a few projects that have been turned in to Detention this week.

We get to see 3secondfish's twinkle toes with her adorably tipped mermaid socks! 

Is it the beauty of EvilMichelles Whirlpool making me dizzy?

And Chonnybunny's Frost Flower Shawl is making me long for a bouquet of tulips! 

HoH Report: HoH Challenge: In the Name of Slytherin!

It's HoH Challenge time! I'm planning on putting the challenge thread up sometime in the next few days or so, so consider this a sneak peek!

Instead of monthly HoH Challenges, this term we are having one term-long challenge. Students may complete this challenge multiple times (with different projects) or once over the course of the term. Larger projects such as OWL or OotP projects also qualify.

When you think about Slytherin, what do you think about? Of course, you think about what it means to be a HPKCHC Slytherin, and the various things that make us awesome.

My challenge this term is to dig a little deeper into the history of Slytherin House by creating a project based on a canon Slytherin. Think about what they were as individuals, and if they lived up to being Slytherin. Maybe even think about how they'd fit in our Slytherin. An exploration of anyone who was ever sorted to Slytherin, all the way back to Salazar himself, fits this challenge. Extra bonus love button pushes for anyone who digs deep and explores the lesser known or talked about Slytherins.

That's the preview! There's probably a bit more, but that's the basis of the challenge this term! So start brainstorming those Slytherins, and I'm looking forward to the awesome that you'll come up with!

Evil’s Cheat Sheet of Total Domination, May 5-11

Happy Mother’s Day to all you dedicated Slytherin Moms! Just like Narcissa Malfoy, I know many of you will do anything for your little ones, include defy The Dark Lord himself. We love you for your strength, dedication and unwavering love.

Snakes did really well this week, but in the end the Lions won out. Much silver and green was in Muggle Studies as a favorite this week, while the rest of the school packed into DADA. However, counting was made much more confusing in Charms where school colors were being scrambled and swapped with mild abandon. I recommend visiting this class even if you do not have homework to hand in. It just goes to prove that no matter the house you’re sorted in that we’re all just Hogwarts students underneath.

Unacceptable homework excuse of the week: My Snape GPS got me lost in the Forest.

We can do this Noble Slytherins! Two and a half weeks to get homework done – this means you! Don’t forget to vote for my, I mean your favorite Hottie.
