Best Kept Slytherin Secrets

Greetings all, and welcome to the first installment of Best Kept Slytherin Secrets! This feature will highlight some of the threads and events that are taking place in the Dungeon that maybe you didn't know about! Threads that are the focal point of this feature will be stickied for a brief period of time, to help bring them into the spotlight.

This week we're focusing on the Slytherin Sunshine Committee, or the SSC. The SSC's job is simple, spread rays of sunshine all over Slytherin! They host the swaps you see take place each term, and are also the force behind the Slytherin Baby Blanket Square Shower, which is the focal point of this feature.

The Slytherin Baby Blanket Square Shower is exactly what it sounds like, a whole lot of baby blanket squares! The SSC is collecting squares made by Slytherins and turning those squares into baby blankets for expecting Slytherins! As the list of wee Slytherins in line to get a blankie grows, so does the need for squares! So if you have some stash to use up (like yours truly), have a love for granny squares (also like yours truly) and would like to do something nice for a housemate, this is the right thing for you!

AND, if you'd like the opportunity to earn some points, it just so happens there's a Quidditch event starting today with your name all over it!

Training Film #2 Heat Therapy, running until May 29th, allows us all to turn in up to 5 charity hats or squares for 15 points each! That's 75 points if you do all 5!

So get that yarn and those hooks or needles, and whip up some squares!




For the Sunshine Committee purposes, squares must be:

8x8
made from soft washable worsted weight acrylic or acrylic blends
Machine washable
Baby friendly (no large holes or lace for small fingers or toes to wander into)

Any colors are welcome: boy, girl, or gender neutral.
