Hi Slytherins! I'm CrazyRedheadChick, and I'll be interviewing your fellow Sytherins this term. Since this is brand-new to the Dungeon blog, I'll begin with interviewing myself!
Knit, Crochet, Spinning or all of the above - and for how long:
I knit and crochet both, knitting for about two years and crochet seriously for just over one year.
How did you get into the House Cup and how long ago was that?
I did a banner and badge for a HP Read-A-Long group and ended up joining it. The Mod over there (H3Dakota) was a member of the House Cup and talked me into joining. The rest is history.
Why Slytherin?
Well, I chose Ravenclaw my first term, but you cannot fool the Sorting Hat and I was placed into Slytherin where I belong. We're big Slytherin fans in this house, and even had a "Snape-Mobile" at one point that had several Slytherin and Snape related stickers on it.
Tell me about your Muggle existence (away from the Cup):
Oh, Geez. Um, I'm 29 and live in Southern Oregon with my wife/girlfriend/partner/Sweetie of six years, a cat, and an alien trying to pass as a cat. I work in Customer Service, most recently at a local flower shop. I have a brother and a step-sister. My best friend for the last 15 years and his wife had a baby last summer and I've been elected her God-Mother.
What's your favorite part of the House Cup? Why do you keep coming back?
The people. I have met so many wonderful wonderful people since joining the Cup.
What's your Patronus and why?
A dolphin. Intelligent, helpful, friendly, funny (at least I like to think so) and playful - that's me in a nutshell.
If I were to open a cupboard containing a Boggart, what would it turn into and what would you turn it into?
Oddly enough, a snake. I can't even think about snakes or see one on TV or read about one in a book without pulling my feet off the floor so they can't get me. To vanquish it, I would turn it into one of those long balloons and make a balloon animal poodle or something with it.
Addictions or Collections?
Caffeine is my addiction. I seriously cannot live without it. I get horrible enough migraines just by breathing - adding caffeine withdrawl just makes me want to die.
My best friend has called me Toad for about 13 years, so this has lead to a frog collection. Snowglobes, plushies, statues, stickers, fabric, dishes, anything with frogs on it will make me squeal like a Ravenclaw locked out of the library.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
Pay off all my bills and all my family's bills...then go to Disneyland for like a month.
If you had enough magical power to cast just one spell, what would it be?
A spell of tolerance. War, domestic violence, gangs - all the bad stuff in the world happens because someone thinks that they're somehow better than everyone else. People yell about "All Men Are Created Equal," but very few people actually believe that.
Cake or pie?
Yes, please.
LOL. Either white cake with the horrible-for-you white frosting or cheesecake.
Are you prepared for the zombie outbreak?
What do you think?
This is my 9 month old Goddaughter, Christina, reading the Zombie Survival Guide. We train 'em young 'round these parts.
What would you like to see here at Hogwarts in the future?
I was inspired a few months ago (while talking with GazeboGal) with an idea that I think would make an awsome premise for History of Magic. The Headmistress and I talked about it a little at the time, but I'd like to see the idea put into place some term soon.
That does it for this episode of Snake Stalking. If you would like to nominate someone to be interviewed, please PM CrazyRedheadChick!

In the Dungeon: The first Week
Hi Everyone! I'm suenosdejmi, and I'm going to be posting Dungeon updates throughout the term. Right up front, I feel the need to say I will post things that are interesting to me. Me. So, if I didn't post what you thought was interesting, sneak me an earburn and I'll include it later. I do take requests.
- If you pay attention to the links over on the right, there's a new one that says Slytherin Dungeon Group. ALL SLYTHERINS, come join this group! We've expanded to off-HPKCHC grounds, but this group has all of the same elements of the Dungeon, just more room to be wild and crazy in! There's special places for hotties of various ratings, and I think that at some point, there will be hottie voting there. I think. I'm not sure how the great scarlettb will be running that just yet.
- The Snake Nests have been announced. There are also individual nest threads over in the new Dungeon Group. Use these, they'll come in handy!
- The Slytherin Quest has been expanded to include the new Zen Quest. All official details here.
- The new group also has a special roaming grounds just for the Slytherin Merry Beasts.
- If you haven't been following the blog until now, we're having a tea party this month, Slytherin style! There's also a thread in the new Dungeon for it.
- Peanutzmom offered up a nice little tip for finding your dream DADA project this month.
- For those of you who feel you might need to make a reservation at St Mungos, they sent us a nice little letter.
- Best New Spell of the Week goes to DrusillaWormwood
- May is Zombie Awareness Month. :)
- Crazyredheadchick is taking submissions for ideas for student interviews for the Slytherin blog.
- And in closing, a nice start of term reminder from anethemadevice

Memo's from St Mungos
Mad Hatter's Tea Party Cozy-a-long ideas:
We are planning one class to have a Cozy- a- long for this month. seakame is organizing the list of participants but we thought we would make a list of suggestions!
There are key cozies, tea pot cozies, mug cozies, hot water bottle cozies, iPod cozies, fruit cozies, kitty cozies, camera cozies... think outside the box or *inside* the box, especially when it is bigger on the inside. ;)
Of course there is the ouroboros for those searching the Chamber for History of Magic or even the Witch hat tea cozy ... who is to say Ole Sal didn't have a lady friend?
How about a wine bottle cozy for those adventurous Snakes? You could add a rune or felt a flower and add it on if you want to do a cozy for Herbology or Ancient Runes.
Or here is one with flowers already on it.
If you are looking for a bunny theme for Charms? how about a bunny can cozy ?
This one fits for Potions or Herbology!
Aww! Who can say no to a sock monkey or a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle? Perfect for Potions
And for DADA... Queue searching until you come across a cozy! Easy Peasy :D Some examples are Jensta79 , Lupingirl has a french press cozy ....number 42 in her queue. Princess Onica has Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cozies in her queue- number 235.
for the slightly off the wall Isisonearth has Wand cosy at number 19 in her queue
And here are a few more Knit patterns and Crochet patterns
