This is a relatively quiet week (unless you are a Professor with lots of grading to do) so take advantage of the time by getting in some work on your OWLs, NEWTs, Order Missions and Headmistress Challenge projects whilst working out what inspires you in this month's class prompts. Remember that February is a short month so those OWLs and NEWTs in particular need attending to if you are going to make the deadlines.
If you haven't taken part in the Headmistress Challenge yet, you might want to head over to the Anteroom to find yourself a partner as there are still two weeks worth of crafting time remaining and lots of points available for the taking.
The Quidditch Shades Challenge started on Sunday so grab yourself 15-20 points and help Slytherin to win the Quidditch Cup this term. Take the guesswork out of the Challenge and get straight to the crafting by visiting the pattern suggestions post in the Slytherin Locker Room.
If you want to use it as a House Unity project you also have the option of partnering up with a Hufflepuff via the Slytherpuff Unity Thread. Check out the video below to get all the info you need to start crafting.
Quidditch players will also want to check out The Players Lounge to get themselves some team mates for the two team crafting events coming up. Planning ahead for those fixtures will make things so much easier.

Evil’s Cheat Sheet of Total Domination; Last week of January
Evil tears through the Common room at a dead run, fails to skid to a stop before she smashes into the Bulletin Board, but manages to post a quickly scribbled and extremely crumpled report. Phew, made it on time.
The classrooms were jammed to the rafters last week! Badgers came out on top.
1. Hufflepuff with 270 and a partial.
2. Ravenclaw with 263
3. Slytherin with 260
4. Gryffindor with 251
OK, here’s what you really want to know:
The month of January was all about the Lions and their Pride.
1. Gryffindor with 634
2. Slytherin with 570
3. Hufflepuff with 539 and a partial
4. Ravenclaw with 527 and a partial
What have we learned? The first week sets the tone, so post something quick!!!!!
We’re still close enough to steal the cup away from the Lions. Let’s take over February. That means now, crafty Snakes.
Go Slytherin, go!

Diminuendo The Rest
The February Classes have been posted!
Did you check them out? Got everything plotted? No? Have you visited our Study Hall recently? 3SecondFish, KnitKitSune and CookKnitWine have lots of ideas to help you craft for Slytherin Glory. The Handy Printable List of Prompts is already posted plus the Whimsical List of Suggestions. So, Go. Look. Now!
Did you know that the Slytherin Baby Blanket Shower is continuing on? Plus this month's bombing of Detention is Blanket Squares. Kizmet, yes?
Knockturn Alley has had some updates posted recently. Be sure to check them out. Starknits has been sewing up bags, Joseybug has fandom inspired stitch markers, and Hermione Jean posted a club - I think the spots are filled, but there are lots of lovely yarns and more in her shop.
Interhouse Unity this month is with Hufflepuff. We are partnering up for Quidditch Challenge 2 and Quidditch Game 2. What a great way to match those puffs post for post in Quidditch. Perhaps this will be our way to winning the cup from them?
Are you Questing? Even if you aren't go visit the Quest thread and check out the cool collages/photos being posted. Posting a collage isn't required to quest, but it is fun to show off all you accomplished in January whether it was one class or all the things. Remember to tag your class and detention project pages with "SQWIN13".
Happy Crafting!
